4x100 Alloy Rims

4x100 means four studs arranged on a circle 100 mm in diameter. It is the dominant pattern on small Japanese and Korean cars and, as a result, one of the best-supported patterns in the aftermarket anywhere in the world. In Pakistan that covers the Honda City, Suzuki Cultus, Alto, WagonR and Swift among many others.

Wide support is genuinely useful: it means you are choosing between designs and finishes rather than accepting whatever happens to fit. It also means you have to be more careful, because 4x100 rims are made for cars with quite different suspension geometry, and bolt pattern alone does not guarantee a fit.

The two numbers that complete the picture are offset and centre bore. Offset positions the wheel in the arch — get it wrong and you get rubbing at full lock or a wheel that sits visibly inboard. Centre bore is the hole in the middle; if it is larger than your hub, the rim needs a hub-centric ring so the wheel is centred by the hub rather than by the studs. Both are things we check on the ramp before fitting, because discovering either afterwards means taking the wheels back off. Bring the car in and it takes us a few minutes.
