In shortPermanent internal puncture repairs for tubeless and tube tyres, with the tyre removed and inspected inside rather than plugged from the outside. City Wheels does this at its workshop in I&T Centre, G-10/1, Islamabad, open 24 hours, 7 days a week with no appointment needed. Typical time: 20–30 minutes. Price is on request — call or WhatsApp 0333 3996060 for a quote.

A puncture repaired properly is a permanent repair. A puncture plugged from the outside without removing the tyre is a temporary one that is sold as permanent, and it is the most common shortcut in this trade.

The difference is what happens inside the tyre. An external plug seals the hole but never lets anyone look at the inner liner, where the real damage from running a deflating tyre shows up. We remove the tyre from the rim on every repair, inspect the inside, and fit a combination patch-plug that seals the puncture channel and bonds to the inner liner as one unit.

We are open 24 hours, which for this service is the point. A puncture does not wait for business hours, and driving on a flat for even a short distance destroys the sidewall and turns a cheap repair into a new tyre.

Signs to look for

Do you need Puncture Repair?

If any of these sound like your car, it is worth having us check it.

  • A tyre that needs topping up every few days
  • The TPMS warning light is on
  • A nail, screw or piece of glass visible in the tread
  • A hissing sound near a wheel after parking
  • The car pulls to one side only under braking
  • A tyre that is visibly lower than the other three

Our process

How City Wheels does Puncture Repair

Every step, and why it matters — so you can tell whether anyone else is skipping one.

  1. 01

    Find the leak

The wheel goes into the water tank under pressure. Not every leak is a nail — corrosion on the rim bead seat and a perished valve are both common, and both look exactly like a slow puncture from the outside.

  2. 02

    Demount and inspect inside

The tyre comes off the rim. We check the inner liner for the tell-tale grey dust and scuffing that mean the tyre has been run flat, and we look for any second injury. A tyre that has been run flat is structurally compromised and we will tell you so rather than repair it.

  3. 03

    Assess whether it is repairable

There are limits, and they are safety limits rather than shop policy. Punctures in the sidewall or shoulder cannot be repaired. Neither can a hole larger than about 6 mm, or a second puncture too close to an existing repair. If yours falls outside the limits we will say so and show you why.

  4. 04

    Repair

The channel is cleaned and buffed, and a combination patch-plug is fitted from the inside — the plug fills the puncture channel to keep moisture off the steel belts, the patch seals the liner. An external plug alone does neither properly.

  5. 05

    Rebalance and refit

The repair adds a small amount of weight in one place, so the wheel is rebalanced before it goes back on. Skipping this is why a repaired wheel sometimes comes back with a new vibration.

Typically 20–30 minutes — and we are open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

I had an excellent experience with CITY WHEELS - TYRE & ALLOY RIMS and would highly recommend them. My tyre burst on the night of 13th August, and since it was around 2 AM, I couldn't find any shop open or a replacement tyre available. I contacted Zeeshan, the owner, and he went above and beyond by personally coming to the shop and opening it specifically to help me. He arranged a replacement tyre, managed the fitting, and even provided complimentary wheel balancing. Everything was handled extremely efficiently and professionally despite the late hour. Really appreciate Zeeshan's dedication and willingness to help when I was genuinely stuck. Excellent customer service and a very positive experience. Highly recommended!

Exceptional Service! Lifesavers in an Emergency! 🚗🛞✨ At 12 AM, I received a call from my father informing me that his car’s tire had burst on the Islamabad Motorway. It was the 2nd day of Eid, and no tire shop was open at that hour. I quickly searched on Google and found City Tyre Shop, which was listed as 24/7 open. I called them, and they responded immediately with a very positive attitude. I shared their number with my father, and when he contacted them, they didn’t hesitate to open their shop at 2 AM—despite the Eid holiday! I never expected to find a tire at that time, but City Tyre Shop truly came through. Their dedication and commitment to helping customers in distress are highly commendable! 🙌💯 A huge thank you to the team! JazakAllah! 🙏 Highly recommended for anyone in need of emergency tire services! 🚘🔧🔥

Questions

Puncture Repair — answered

Can every puncture be repaired?

No. A puncture in the tread area, smaller than about 6 mm and not too close to an existing repair, is repairable. A puncture in the sidewall or shoulder is not, because that area flexes continuously and no repair will hold. A tyre that has been driven on while flat is also not repairable, whatever the puncture looks like, because the internal structure has already been damaged.

Is an external plug good enough?

It is a get-you-home measure, not a repair. Plugging from the outside means nobody has looked at the inside of the tyre, so damage from running deflated goes undetected, and the plug alone does not seal the liner against moisture reaching the steel belts. We remove the tyre on every repair for that reason.

Do you repair punctures at night?

Yes. We are open 24 hours, seven days a week, at the I&T Centre in G-10/1. Call 0333 3996060 before setting off and we will have the bay ready.

How long does a puncture repair take?

Usually 20 to 30 minutes including demounting, inspection, repair, rebalancing and refitting. If the tyre turns out not to be repairable we will tell you within the first ten minutes rather than after.
