Kumho Tyres

Kumho is a large Korean manufacturer that competes on value — noticeably cheaper than the premium Japanese and European brands while being a considerably more serious product than the unbranded budget tyres that share the shelf with it.

For Pakistani conditions that positioning works well. A lot of drivers do not need a premium compound but are, rightly, unwilling to trust a tyre with no engineering reputation behind it at all. Kumho fills that gap, and it is well represented in the crossover and SUV sizes that have grown fastest here — the Sportage and Tucson fitments in particular.

As with any value-tier choice, the thing to pay attention to is the specification rather than the badge: check the load index against your vehicle's door placard and the speed rating against how you actually drive, and do not let a lower price tempt you below either. We check both before we fit, on every car. And ask to see the DOT date on anything you buy from anyone, ourselves included — a heavily discounted tyre is sometimes discounted because it has been sitting for three years. Ours turn over quickly and we will show you the date without being asked.
